That's real nice dude. There are notes on that poem that have lots more to say though. I think it's a universal feeling, one everyone has felt, that there's something we should have done and by the time we get around to doing it it's too late, the chance has passed. I know I have a few things that I really regret not putting my mind to, and it's too late now, I can never do them.
That 'Anonymous' dude sure wrote some good shit.
Posted by: Matthew at June 27, 2005 03:25 PMIt's not anonymous- it's by Henson Towne.
As Adrian put up his favourite poem, and started a trend, I thought I'd put up one of my favourites. I liked it so much I kept it in my wallet for a year, and now have it committed to memory.
Hang out for next Sunday- it's going to be a RIPPER! I can hardly wait to post it.
Posted by: Destructor at June 27, 2005 03:32 PMYou should probably post the name of the poet in the blog post as well.
Posted by: Adrian at June 27, 2005 03:38 PMOR you can just click the poem and the name will be revealed.
Posted by: Destructor at June 27, 2005 03:41 PMPoor usability. How is someone who doesn't know that they have to click the poem, an action that is not needed to read the poem in the first place.
Posted by: Adrian at June 27, 2005 04:05 PMI reckon the usablilty of this blog is really your gig though Adrian, no? SHUCKLOCKY.
Or you could have changed the alt:text (or title:text, WHATEVER) to say that. I had to Googleise the heading of the poem and it appears to have sent me off on a tangent. A tangent which told me the poem was by 'anonymous'!
Google sucks, yeah?
Posted by: Matthew at June 27, 2005 05:09 PMI like that idea, Matt. I'm doin' it now.
Posted by: Destructor at June 28, 2005 09:42 AMmy aunt betty golden, taught me this poem when i was eight (8) years old and i also memorized it. when i got into HS i tried to find author no luck but now i'm 63 & thought to put it in google and their it was - all these years and i thought it was 'anonymous'! what a wonderful surprise
